Global Investigations and Dispute Forum

As financial crime grows increasingly sophisticated and regulatory expectations continue to evolve, the need for advanced investigative insight has never been greater. The Global Investigations and Dispute Forum (GIDF), held on Wednesday, 7 May in Dubai, brought together leading global experts to examine how organisations can navigate today’s complex risk and compliance landscape.

Co-hosted by Secretariat and The Wealth Today, the forum convened senior investigators, legal practitioners, and corporate leaders for an in-depth discussion on the forces shaping the future of global investigations and dispute resolution. Across a series of expert-led sessions, speakers explored both the challenges and opportunities emerging at the intersection of regulation, technology, and corporate accountability.

Key discussions focused on critical themes including cross-border investigations, the growing role of AI and blockchain in dispute resolution, and the importance of corporate integrity in an era of heightened scrutiny. Speakers shared practical perspectives on how organisations can strengthen investigative readiness, manage complex disputes, and stay ahead of emerging financial crime risks.

The forum also highlighted how investigative strategies are evolving in response to digital transformation, increasing data volumes, and the expanding scope of regulatory enforcement across jurisdictions.

Secretariat was represented by a distinguished group of speakers, including Ralph Stobwasser, Bhavin Shah, Stephen Millington, May Mhanna, Chaitanya Arora, and Charlie Warren, who shared deep expertise drawn from global investigations, litigation support, and advisory engagements.

The Global Investigations and Dispute Forum reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, innovation, and foresight in addressing financial crime and dispute risk — equipping attendees with insights to strengthen resilience and decision-making in an increasingly complex global environment.
