In line with its steadfast commitment to humanitarian work and community development, Al Ansari Holding, the parent company of Al Ansari Financial Services and Al Ansari Exchange, announced a contribution of AED 10 million in support of the Edge of Life campaign to rescue five million children from hunger. The contribution comes as the Group’s subsidiary, Al Ansari Exchange, celebrates its 60th anniversary, and reflects the company’s belief in the vital role of the private sector in supporting developmental initiatives.
The campaign was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadan, to raise a minimum of AED 1 billion to be invested in implementing sustainable programmes that help fight childhood hunger around the world.
The campaign falls under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger.
Commenting on this initiative, Mohammad A. Al Ansari, Chairman of Al Ansari Holding, stated: “It is an honour to contribute to the Edge of Life campaign to rescue five million children from hunger, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The campaign reflects the UAE’s leading humanitarian role, and its active support to international initiatives to combat hunger and achieve sustainable development goals.”
He added: “Our contribution coincides with Al Ansari Exchange’s 60th anniversary and reflects our commitment to social responsibility and supporting MBRGI’s programmes. Childhood hunger is a challenge that extends beyond a mere lack of nutrition; it is a humanitarian crisis that undermines children’s right to life, growth, education and stability.”
This contribution underscores the Group’s dedication to strengthening its role as a leading national company that supports humanitarian and development efforts locally and globally, while promoting the values of solidarity and giving that form fundamental pillars of the UAE’s journey and its global humanitarian responsibility. It also reaffirms its commitment to adopting sustainable initiatives that enhance collaboration between public- and private-sector entities and build an effective ecosystem capable of creating meaningful changes in communities and ensuring a safer future for children around the world.
