Payments giant Stripe announced on its website on Thursday that it has added support for crypto businesses, including crypto exchanges, wallets, and NFT marketplaces. The statement also says the company will offer fiat payments API integration for crypto businesses, which will allow them to process crypto-fiat currency payments.

“Stripe now supports crypto businesses: exchanges, on-ramps, wallets, and NFT marketplaces,” Stripe co-founder John Collison said in a tweet. “Not just pay-ins but payouts, KYC and identity verification, fraud prevention, and lots more.”Stripe’s announcement is the first major crypto-related piece of news from the company since it announced the creation of a team dedicated to Web3 payments in October last year.
