Riyad Bank signs memorandum of understanding with Bab Al-Khair Medical Services to establish the first non-profit hospital in the Kingdom

02 May 2021: As part of its strategy for social responsibility “Bukra”, Riyad Bank signed a memorandum of understanding with Bab al-Khair Medical Services, one of Beit Al Batraji’s community service initiatives, and aims to establish the kingdom’s first non-profit hospital, as part of community partnership programs aimed at strengthening the role of the private sector to develop non-profit initiatives in line with the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 programs.

The agreement was signed on Sunday, May 2, 2021, by Engineer Sobhi Petrji, Chairman of The Petraji House Community Service, Regional Director for the Western Region of Riyad Bank, Mr. Nayef bin Mansour Shalabi, and in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

This partnership is part of innovative initiatives in the areas of non-profit work and emphasizes the importance of leveraging strategic partnerships with relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to achieve the Kingdom’s vision of 2030 in the non-profit sector and community responsibility.

Engineer Sobhi Petrji explained that the project is located in Mecca after the necessary licenses have been completed and that it is currently in the construction phase, and the hospital is the main nucleus for the construction of a group of non-profit hospitals in the Kingdom who are under the umbrella of social security in coordination with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, pointing out that there are non-profit community initiatives in the fields of health and education will be presented in the rest of the Kingdom in the coming period, God willing.

Al Batraji Community Service is the charitable arm of the Petraji family, which aims to establish a series of non-profit hospitals in the Kingdom and contribute to the development and support of communities through several initiatives in various fields through Bab al-Khair Medical Services, whose board of directors is headed by Engineer Sobhi Petrji.

Riyad Bank adopts a package of support initiatives for many institutions and associations that are implemented in accordance with the best local and international standards, based on its strategy of social responsibility “Bukra” comprehensive, which was prepared and developed to conform to the objectives of vision of the Kingdom 2030, and the goals of the United Nations for sustainable development, which confirms its keenness to contribute to the development of society and translate its message and vision. It is also a leading body in the field of social responsibility, recently signed an agreement to establish the Riyad Academic Bank laboratory in partnership with Madak Education, and recently renewed its support agreement for the Autism Research Center at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and research center with a total value of more than 42 million riyals, in addition to being the most prominent supporters of the Center of Excellence for Autism, which was launched as a joint community initiative between the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia.
