Shoppers can now pay with Klarna’s interest-free Pay in 4 solution across Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, and items from BHLDN and Terrain
New York, May 16, 2022 – Klarna, a leading global retail bank, payments and shopping service, today announced the expansion of its partnership with URBN, a portfolio of global consumer brands, to offer its interest-free Pay in 4 solution online at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, and items from BHLDN and Terrain. The US partnership is an extension of the already successful collaboration between Klarna and URBN brands across 11 European markets including the UK, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Italy, France, Portugal, and Ireland.
Klarna’s interest-free payment options help consumers save time and money and be informed and in control of their finances. US consumers shopping at URBN lifestyle brands online can now pay with greater choice and flexibility at the brands they love.
“Our aim is to offer consumers the shopping experience that best works for and fits with their lifestyle,” said Demo Lymberopoulos, Global Executive Director, Customer Technology at URBN. “As consumers increasingly demand more convenience for how they shop and pay, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Klarna to enable US shoppers to pay how and when they want across their favorite brands.”
According to Klarna’s shopping insights, 77% of consumers globally say retailers should continually invest in new tech to meet their evolving expectations, and 51% of consumers noted their most-wanted innovations for online shopping are frictionless payments. With this partnership, the URBN portfolio continues to meet consumer expectations for more transparent and alternative ways to shop and pay.
“A smooth online shopping experience continues to play an essential role in how consumers engage and connect with retailers today,” said David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna. “We are excited to build on the success we’ve seen with the URBN portfolio of brands in Europe, and expand our popular interest-free payment solutions to the US market.”
